Family Housing 1

  • Family housing is for low-income families with children under the age of 18 living in the unit. 

  • Family Housing 1 includes 5 duplexes (10 units) that were built in 1972. 

  • These duplexes are two and three bedroom renovated units. 

  • Two bedrooms are 769 sq feet and the three bedrooms are 800 sq feet.

  • Tenants pay rent-geared-to-income base on 30% of the total gross household income unless they are on income support, AISH, etc.

  • Tenants are required to pay their own electricity, phone and cable tv.

  • Pet and smoke free environment.

  • All residents are required to provide a current Government of Canada Notice of Assessment annually.

  • The total annual income must be below the Core Needs Income Threshold.

  • Assets need to be below $25,000.

  • Each resident is required to sign and follow a Fixed term lease.

  • Claresholm Housing Authority has the right to refuse an applicant.
